To give you some idea of my awesome but strangely selective procrastinating powers, this was drawn early last summer. And it's not my oldest WIP. I've got long comic pages I'm happily avoiding right now in favor of commissions and quick art. Anyway, this is... an absolute train wreck of anatomy and perspective. But I was determined to finish it. Just focus on the fire if you can. I'm not completely ashamed of the fire. Everything else registers high on the "auuugh" meter, though.
Picture is one of several concept art bits involving the blending of the Kingdom Hearts series with ancient Egyptian mythology... For the same reason that sits squarely behind most of my art ("Because I want to. So there."), aka No Good Reason. I still think Terra associates well with Anubis for both the aesthetic similarities between his helmet and Anubis's upright ears and the 'weighing/judgment of the heart' connection wherein it seems Terra was responsible for choosing someone (FM+ line of "It isn't you that I have chosen" before he fights Sora) that a lot of people seem to believe is testimony to Riku being the chosen Keyblade Master (and failfesting to the point that the Keyblade went to Sora instead). There's also a lot of other points with Anubis being connected to spirits, patron of lost souls, etc. But who knows if souls will ever play an important role in KH.

In short: Blahblahblah, bad anatomy yes that fire is meant to hide his foot hey look shiny yay Egypt, blahblahblah. Don't be surprised if more of this madness shows up in my gallery.
